Spartan News Science Fair The 2012 Science Fair will be held on Tuesday, January 31st. Set-up will begin at 3:15pm. Judging will start at 4:00pm. Girls' Basketball Tryouts! Girls' Basketball tryouts begin January 31, February 1, and February 2. Girls must attend all three tryout dates! Must have completed VHSL Sports Physical dated after May 1, 2011 -- no exceptions. Freshman Orientation Brooke Point High School Rising 9th graders are invited to Brooke Point High School, Tuesday, February 7, 6:30 - 8:00pm, for Freshman Orientation. (Make-up date is February 15th). There will be a brief presentation in the auditorium, guided tours of Brooke Point, and display tables of various clubs, classes, and extracurricular activities. Other Rising 9th Grade Orientations: Stafford High School, January 18, 7:00pm, Auditorium Colonial Forge High School, January 19, 7:00pm, Auditorium (Make-up date Feb. 2) North Stafford High School, January 19, 6:30pm, Auditorium (Make-uo date Feb. 2) Mountain View High School, February 7, 6:30pm, Auditorium (Make-up date Feb. 28) Textbook Adoption and Review Textbooks (grades 6-8) under consideration for adoption will be available in the SMS Library beginning December 16, 2011. All teachers and interested parents are encouraged to review the textbooks and to complete an evaluation rubric. Completed rubrics will be forwarded to the appropriate textbook committee.
